Тема мероприятия “The country of my dream ”

Цели и задачи.

1. Активизировать познавательную  и творческую деятельность студентов.

2. Формировать навыки работы студентов с дополнительной литературой.

3.  Расширять кругозор, повышать интерес студентов к английскому языку.

1. Говорение (Speaking)

Участники представляют эссе на тему “The country of my dream ”/«Страна моей мечты» в форме публичной презентации. Задача участников в устной форме представить свой продукт.

II. Письмо (Creative writing)

• Тема эссе известна участникам заранее, письменная часть эссе сдаётся экспертам (высший балл – 5)

Критерии оценивания:

• Содержание и логика построения эссе (высший балл – 5)

• Лексико – грамматическая сторона работы (высший балл – 5)

• Сформированность произносительных навыков (высший балл – 5)

• Умение преподнести продукт (высший балл – 3)

Максимальное количество баллов – 23.

Время выступления – 5 - 7 минут.

Steps of the competition

1. Приветствие, заявление темы мероприятия

Leader 1: Good afternoon, dear guests!

Leader 2: We are glad to welcome you at the second tour of the Olympiad in English.

Leader 1: Ten students are the winners of the first Olympiad tour and they are going to compete now.

Leader 2: Our program is organized in a form of a competition for students with the best English knowledge from all subunits of our college.

Leader 1: So the task for students is to represent an essay on the theme “The country of my dream” (Муз. заставка)

Leader 2: Now let me introduce our judges, the teachers of foreign languages from all subunits of our college. Here they are:…………... Applaud them, please!

Leader 1: Our teachers will assess you and give you some points.

Leader 2: And the spectators may also take part in our competition. If you like the report, you raise your signs. Is it clear?

Leader 1: So, we are glad to welcome our participants, good luck to everybody!

Leader 2: We must remind the task for you. You have to represent your essay “The country of my dream”
